Bob is fictional, but basically I am trying to highlight why it is important to hire a seasoned pro for your wedding day. No professional photographer would risk their reputation and work with one camera, I use two x high end Canon cameras, I also carry at least 2 flash guns sometimes 3 plus several professional grade lenses. Add to that my tripod, batteries, memory cards and studio lights \ backgrounds (in case it rains) and my trusty step ladder and Uncle Bob could never compete.

Let me introduce you to “Uncle Bob”, who could also be a friend of a friend who dabbles a bit with photography. Bob is over the moon with his new camera his wife just bought him for his 50th birthday, it even comes with a lens that goes from a wide angle to close up’s. He is itching to try it out so he charges the battery flicks it into the auto mode and takes pictures of everybody at his birthday party. A modern camera does a pretty fair job straight out of the box to be honest and everybody tells Bob his pictures are good and jokes he should turn professional. Furthermore, at the party is Bob’s niece Jenny, Jenny is getting married in 6-months times to Greg, they haven’t decided on a photographer yet there are so many to choose from and the ones they like are expensive. They mention this to Bob, and he tells them “Let me do your wedding photography as a present” “It will be great, I can use my new camera and you and Greg can put the money towards a honeymoon” – They both agree and thank Uncle Bob what a wonderful present. He has saved them ££££.

Now see if you can anwser the following questions.

1.) What happens if Uncle Bob gets ill two days before Jenny and Gregs wedding?

2.) What happens if a guest falls over Uncle Bobs camera bag at the wedding reception?

3.) What happens if Uncle Bob drinks too much and gets drunk before the first dance ?

4.) What happens if Uncle Bob falls out with Jennys Mum before the wedding?

5.) What happens if Uncle Bob just can't cope with the changing light conditiosn that can occur at a wedding.

Consider the above - don't Book an Uncle Bob - Book a Profesional.
