Frequently asked questions

Q.) Why should we book Ian Price Photography for our big day?

A.) First off you are not just booking a wedding photographer, you are buying my creative mind, my attention to detail and my patience of a saint.

Q.) What is your approach to wedding photography?

A.) My approach is simple, I never forget it’s your day and I will capture the images with a friendly approachable, yet professional attitude. I do encourage potential couples to meet up for a free pre-shoot as its builds a rapport and will help them relax on the day. As for my dress code, I normally go for smart casual and try to blend into  the crowd, but it is very hard to do when you have two big cameras hanging around your neck and a step ladder in toe.

Q.) What happens if you’re ill on the day and unable to attend our wedding?

A.) I work very closely with a photographer call Sean Tobin our styles are similar and you can see examples of his work here....

http://www.st-weddingphotography.co.uk. In the unlikely event that I was ill Sean would step in and cover your day. Fortunately, I have never missed a wedding due to any circumstances.

Q.) Do we have to choose our package and albums at the time of booking?

A.) No, in fact, its best if you don’t. A holding deposit will secure my services for your special day. However, our album range is frequently updated. I would suggest you finalise your album choice 4 weeks prior to your wedding.

Q.) What about insurance?

A.) I am fully insured by Hiscox this includes public liability insurance, and although I have never needed the insurances, I wouldn’t shoot an important event like your wedding day without the policies in place.

Q.) What about the payment?

A.) When you tell me “Yes” we would like to book you for our wedding, I pencil you into my diary system. From that point onwards I will not book another wedding for your set date. I only ever shoot one wedding per day. I normally ask for a £100 non-refundable retainer within 4 weeks of making a verbal booking. However, I can be slightly flexible on the deposit if it’s a problem just let me know.

Q.) My uncle Bob just got a Nicano 5DX MkIII for his 50th birthday it cost my Aunt a fortune. He is willing to take the photos at our wedding for peanuts, why shouldn’t we consider him?

A.) Ever heard that saying pay peanuts get a monkey? – Professional Wedding photography is harder then it looks, this leads many amatures into a false sence of security. It's not uncommon for me to receive enquiries from distressed brides telling us how they chose the cheap or even free option, how they regret it and asking if there is anything we can do with their disappointing wedding photographs. Unfortunately however, it's more often than not, too late.

Your wedding photos are the only item you have to remind you of your special day.

Trust it to a professional !!!!!!!!!!!
